Rank your top eight teams
the way you think they will finish in the
Tournament.
Start your list with the team you predict will
win the National Championship. Continue the list
with the team you think will come in second,
followed by the third place team, and so on.
Finally, pick a ninth team to serve as a
tiebreaker should your final score equal the
final score of another contestant. Your list
should include nine unique teams—no team can
appear in more than one place on your list.
How the point system works:
Your top team receives 8
points every time it wins; your second place
team receives 7 points when it wins; your third
place team receives 6 points, and so on.
The Championship Game is worth double points. If
one of your teams wins the National
Championship, it receives double the points it
would normally receive for winning a game.
When one of your teams loses, it can no longer
accumulate points, but the points it earns
before its loss remain as part of your total
score.
The highest total score in the pool wins
1st Place. "Perfect Picks" wins
entire Pot!
At the end of the
Tournament, if your total score is equal to
another contestant's score, and you are in a
position to receive a prize, the tiebreaker
teams determine the winner. If your tiebreaker
team won more games than the other contestant's
tiebreaker team, you win the tie. If, after this
process, you are still tied, prizes will be
divided accordingly between you.
Note: The expanded 68 team field
does not impact Hooppool's scoring format.
"First Four" results do not count towards
your point totals. You
can include any of the 68 teams in your entry,
but points do not begin to accumulate until
First Round
games.
